Links to your website increase as the list of your published articles grow and so does your placement according to search engine spiders. This is the place to begin writing your articles: create quality content for your website first. The article, therefore, is a summary of all or a part of the quality content you already created for the website, or a variation or variations thereof. Link directly to the web page that relates to the article rather than the index or home page.

 After I created articles and successfully submitted them, I set about creating website material or longer versions of the articles. The light bulb went off that I was proceeding backwards and creating unnecessary work. When you create the website content, you may include images and other graphics. While creating the article, if the image or video is important to the content then writing about the image or video becomes more descriptive text adding to the body of content.

Search engines index data. In addition to indexing websites, the spiders also index any article that is written about your own website’s topic. This is like having two indexes for the same content. That may increase your chances of being noticed. Articles increase the opportunity for search engines to index your website because the number of ways for the engines to find it has increased with similarly indexed articles.

The good thing with articles is that you can write about things that people would want to know about and, on the other hand, that is the biggest challenge. Slip inside the head of your prospective customer, or become him or her and write what you would like to read about. If a reader appreciates your work because you were point on, the article just might be forwarded to others they think would benefit from reading. It is commonplace now for articles to be tweeted and posted on someone’s wall.
